The clinical team at Recover have a great deal of experience in helping people suffering from trauma to take positive steps toward recovery.
People who have suffered from a trauma will often know that there is a problem but are rarely aware that it is treatable; they frequently blame themselves for their problems or reason that it is ‘just the way they are’.
If this sounds like you, or someone you know, the team at Recover is here to offer you guidance on where to turn.
We provide specialist trauma counselling and support, and will help you to find a treatment plan that is specifically tailored to your needs, whether it’s one-to-one counselling or residential trauma treatment.
What is trauma?
Around 30% of people exposed to such a stressful event will develop PTSD. PTSD can emerge months or sometimes years after a traumatic experience, affecting a person’s ability to lead their life.

- Repeated reliving of traumatic events without resolution
- Reoccurring relapses with no obvious triggers
- Flashbacks
- Depression
- Difficulty sleeping
- Difficulty in starting or maintaining intimate relationships
