Recover has a committed team of experienced people who are all passionate about helping people
and their families to get well and embrace recovery.
David Gilmour - Founder and Director
How do you cram 39 years into a couple of paragraphs? My background was that I worked in the music industry for 15 years. At the beginning of 2004, I made a decision to leave the industry and set up Recover. From the very beginning, the aim of the company has always been to provide information for people looking for help and support for themselves or their loved ones. I have met many fantastic, caring people over the last few years that dedicate their time, efforts and passion into getting people well. Today, I am very proud of the fact that Recover work with many of those individuals and organizations.
I am currently doing an MA in Psychotherapy at Roehampton University, I have a wonderful family and I am a mad keen fly fisherman who is lucky enough to have friends who share the same passion! I still love music and get very excited from the buzz of hearing something new and unsigned. I love cooking, travelling and generally being outside surrounded by nature and all of it’s beauty.
Recovery has given me back a life today, which is a far cry from how I used to see the world,
and I look forward to carrying that message forward.

Dee Harrington - Pilates Instructor
Dee Harrington has been practicing the Pilates Method for 25 years and teaching it for the last seven years. Dee says that Pilates has been the only exercise that she has really enjoyed and the only one, which continues to challenge her. It takes practice and you can do the mat method anywhere. Since becoming a teacher Dee has learnt a great deal about the uniqueness of the human body and how to adopt the exercises to suit the individual client. Dee helps clients feel relaxed through the breath control and rhythmical movements as well as teaching the technique for lean strong muscles and a flat firm centre. Many people suffer physical and emotional pain through injuries and trauma, and through the stretching and Pilates Method, Dee has been able to free up tight and painful areas of their bodies.

Gill Sanders BASR, UKCP, BACP -Sex Addiction Specialist
Gill is Recover Now’s sex addiction specialist. Gill believes that sexual addiction is not about any specific sexual behaviour but describes how this behaviour functions and how it is experienced in the life of the individual. It is not a medical disorder but it is a behaviour that closely parallels the diagnostic criteria for substance dependency.
As well as one to one work, Gill also offers intensive working sessions that are ideal for those who are time-limited or who live away from London. These sessions are very effective short-term programs and are goal orientated; they take place over a few days or a weekend. One of Gill’s key strengths is working with people for whom talking is difficult and talking about uncomfortable feelings is almost impossible. She has experience in working with couples, groups and individuals.
